Defending Champion Bubba Watson defeated an exhausted and out of sorts Kevin Kisner 7&6 in the Championship match 12 months ago. Tiger Woods will be looking to make it win number 81 on the PGA Tour as he makes his first Dell Technologies Match Play appearance since 2013. Course winners Australian Jason Day (2016) World Number 1 Dustin Johnson (2017) and Bubba Watson 12 months ago suggest that power is an asset around Austin Country Club. 18 hole Match Play can throw up some surprises but this great event has a history of cream rising to the top on Championship Sunday.

Aggressive golf is seen more often in Match Play formats and a man who can put that and his length from the tee box to very good use is the brilliant back to back US OPEN Champ in 2017 and 2018 Brooks Koepka. I'm a massive fan of Koepka and the way he plays the game. Brooks is as cool a customer as they come which he has proven when the big prizes are on the line late on Sundays. He wastes no time and has every aspect of the game in his armoury. Touch to go with his power. Koepka is in Group 3 along with Swedens Alex Noren who finished 3rd last year, Chinese star Hao Tong Li and Englands Tom Lewis. Although all groups are competitive in a high class field I fully expect Brooks to qualify from his section and be a major player in the knockout stages.

A player who has been showing some really solid form for some time now is American Keegan Bradley. The 2011 PGA Champion got back to winning ways after 6 years on the PGA Tour in the 2018 BMW Championship where he defeated Justin Rose in a playoff at the first extra hole. Bradley finished 8th in the season long FedEx Cup in 2018 which proves the consistency he had been showing over a sustained period of time. Bradley has represented the United States in the 2012 and 2014 Ryder Cups and also the 2013 Presidents Cup so has alot of Match Play experience at the highest level. I think there is another win in the near future for the 4 time PGA Tour winner. Bradley at his best could definitely be a danger man if making it to the knockout stages.
